On 1 July 2022 I officially left 209 Pitshanger Lane Surgery and I have in fact retired from medicine altogether. I first arrived as a GP in September 1990 and I enjoyed a wonderful thirty odd years at the practice. It has been both a privilege and a pleasure to serve the local community in that time.
In the last few years in particular I found the job had become a lot more difficult and less satisfying. My partner, Dr Luna Das, who joined me in May 1999, will continue at the premises. I wish her, the staff and all patients past and present the very best for the future.
Best Wishes
Simon Valentine
